Bio, Bio, Bio!

You are starting your own business and you have a terrific website,

but you don’t have a bio...

Do you even need a bio? Absolutely! Here is why:

A dynamic and interesting bio gives the reader a feel for who you are, where you have been, and what you have done.

Unlike a résumé, a bio is a synopsis of your experience, without all the details. It allows you to emphasize those things about you that make you special and unique!

A well-written bio focuses on whatever area of your life and expertise you wish. For example, if your business is not based on previous employment experience, but was born out of a hobby, it can be tailored to emphasize your skills in that area, which after all are as relevant as anything else you’ve done!

A bio allows your prospect to establish a connection with you that otherwise may not occur, especially if your products/services are not delivered in person.

It’s very difficult for most people to write their own bio - with so much information it’s hard to know where to start!

Working with a professional that understands you as a person, as well as a businessperson is crucial when having your bio written! Collaborate with someone you trust and like, someone who truly grasps your vision.

And how about a photo to go with that fabulous bio?

People who surf the Internet love visual stimulation – cool graphics, stunning photos, vibrant colors, and stuff to click on! A professional photo with your bio is a must, especially for a small entrepreneur. You want to be able to connect with your clients – a bio and a photo add an extra dimension of intimacy to your transactions.
